Ram Navami: Lord Rama's Birthday

Ram Navami marks the birth anniversary of Lord Rama, the seventh avatar of Vishnu and the hero of the Ramayana. Falling on the ninth day of the bright fortnight of Chaitra month (March-April), it also marks the conclusion of the nine-day Chaitra Navratri festival. The day celebrates the ideals that Rama embodied: perfect righteousness, devotion to duty, compassion, and just governance.
