Baisakhi: Punjab's New Year

Baisakhi (also Vaisakhi) is one of North India's most vibrant festivals, celebrated with immense joy in Punjab, Haryana, and by Sikh and Hindu communities worldwide. It falls on the first day of the Vaisakh month, coinciding with the solar new year. For farmers, it marks the completion of the rabi (winter) harvest. For Sikhs, it commemorates the founding of the Khalsa Panth by Guru Gobind Singh Ji, one of the most transformative events in Indian history.
