Goddess Lakshmi: Goddess of Wealth

Lakshmi is one of the most beloved deities in Hinduism, representing both material and spiritual wealth. She emerged from the churning of the cosmic ocean (Samudra Manthan) and chose Vishnu as her eternal consort. Lakshmi accompanies Vishnu in each of his incarnations. She is the bestower of eight forms of wealth called Ashta Lakshmi, covering everything from food to courage.
